My Top 3 Must Haves
My Non-Negotiables
One of the questions I am asked most often is which products in the catalog are my favorites. For the longest time my answer was a specific nail strip, but now that Color Street has introduced new products my choices have grown. Here are the top things I can’t live without, and why they top my list.
- Clear As Day: This transparent clear overlay does a phenomenal job of protecting any color or design strip underneath it. It is TOUGH, and it comes with twice as many strips as any other nail strip product, so you get 32 strips for only $13. I use it on top of designs, but many use it as a base coat to help smooth out ridges for a more uniform application of their favorite strip. It’s especially helpful as a base coat under shimmery colors, which tend to show flaws more than glitters.
- Color Street non-acetone nail polish remover: IT SMELLS GOOD. Like, really good. It has a premium, light bergamot fragrance and smells like something you would get in a fancy Vegas spa. It’s also specially formulated to cut through our glitters and multiple layers of polish in minimal time. You don’t have to soak them, but I like to use nail clips and cotton pads with a little remover applied. Five minutes after I put them on, ALL the polish slides off in one swoop. No mess on my finger or cuticles, and it has moisturizing agents that don’t dry out my nails. I change my nails every week, and they haven’t peeled or dried out since I made the switch from other non-acetone removers.
- Tri-Flex Mascara: There are beneficial ingredients and it’s cruelty free, but when it gets down to the brass tacks I love it because it STAYS ON and doesn’t transfer below my eyes. I have never, ever had a mascara that performed this well. Ever.
- Lip products: Ok, I said top three, but these are too good to leave out. The liners stay on for 24 hours or more, and the lipsticks leave your lips in better shape than they were in before you used them. They don’t bleed easily, and they don’t dry out your mouth or leave a weird taste – even the mattes! The primer is a perfect lip balm for night time or any time you need moisturizing and don’t want color or shine. The tinted lip balm is just right for running out to the store, or any time you want a smidge of color and shine, but don’t want the whole “done” look.
I could go on, but I’d love to hear what YOUR top favorites are! Let me know!
